We consider ourselves so lucky to be a part of the Sans community. This beautiful store in the heart of Sea Point’s thriving community has become an institution for conscious shopping. The intention behind its creation was to foster a strong connection to the food and lifestyle products that we buy. Sans connect directly with makers and farmers, effectively bringing their community of suppliers and customers closer together.

Sans regularly host workshops and talks to raise consciousness around production, seasonality and the impact that we have on our world through our practices. Our favourite corner of the store is the little library where you can comfortably settle down to browse the staff’s favourite reads. Their artisanal stationery is another favourite for gifting.

Sans merchandiser, David Plastow, believes that Saint d’Ici offers customers of both sexes a natural, unique and unorthodox alternative to generic and mass produced, synthetic fragrances.

“Our customers resonate with the use of botanical ingredients that are hand selected and locally sourced.  Small batches of production allow us to discover a perfume that is ‘of now’ and that won’t necessarily be available to everyone, or forever, creating a sense of exclusivity. The paired back and uniform design of the packaging is striking but not overbearing, permitting each scent to have its own dialogue.”
